Plants whitish pink in colour (Fig. a), 20 cm in height, terete, sub-moniliform, irregularly and alternately branched; axes about 2 mm in width, gradually tapering towards the branches; branches sparse, short, fusiform, corticated; branchlets sparse, filiform, deciduous, 1 mm long and 25 pm broad, corticated at the nodes by a ring of cells, ending in 2 - 3 small sub-conical cells.
