I am particularly indebted to Dr. Fawzia Afreen and Dr. S.M.A. Zobayed who edited and contributed greatly through reviewing text of each of the chapters and offering many constructive comments and suggestions; without their help this book would not have been completed. Extensive researches on photoautotrophic micropropagation and closed transplant production systems are achieved by about 200 persons once worked at Chiba University, Japan. I am grateful and thankful to all of them from the bottom of my heart.
